Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

The OSU Tutoring and Clinical Programs(TCP) were established to teach children and adults in an enjoyable, supportive environment grounded in the most recent research on teaching and learning.

We tailor each student’s instruction by assessing their individual needs and aligning personalized learning goals targeted to enhance their ability. We strive to support every child, encouraging independence and self-confidence as they learn.

You might say we practice the art and the science of skillful teaching. Going beyond research findings, we assess and observe how each child learns and use this information to develop individualized instruction. TCP staff and tutors develop skills, challenge limitations, and lift expectations. Our ultimate goal is to help students experience success in school and other academic settings. Our reward is a twinkle in the eye and a smile on the face at the end of a tutoring session.

In addition to tutoring, we also train prospective teachers and prepare certified teachers for specialty endorsements. We observe and monitor students’ work carefully to ensure that it meets the high standards of OSU’s School of Teaching and Learning.

The result is a win/win/win relationship between area parents, teachers and schools. Our goal is to help everyone succeed.

We invite you to take a few minutes to learn more about us. We offer flexible hours, inviting tutoring space, free parking, and competitive rates.

We look forward to serving you and your child at the OSU Tutoring and Clinical Programs. Future open houses will be announced on this web site. Please feel free to contact us with questions.
